French-Syrian pianist born in Damascus, Dania Altabbaa has studied in the Conservatory of Damascus,

the Center Apple Hill of Chamber music in New hampshir, and at the École Normale Supérieure de Musique of  Paris with a grant of the french government and the Foundation Albert Roussel.

She is graduate in piano and chamber music unanimously, and has received instruction from great teachers such as Françoise Thinat, Geneviève Martigny, Claude Helffer, Éric Heidseik, Jacqueline Robin.

She has won several international prizes (prize pf the Alliance Française in Paris and prize of the international piano competition of Ibla in Italy).

Dania Altabbaa gives many piano chamber music concerts in Europe, United States and in the Arabic world, and contributes to the diffusion of the high level Arab music with world creations of pieces of contemporary composers.

She has given performances in several international festivals among which the festival of music of the Mediterranean, of New Hampshire, of classical music in Rome,Rivoli in Torino,festival of Abu Dahbi and takes part in  cultural programs of Radio France International. Currently, she lives in Paris where she appears in piano solo, four hand piano or two pianos and several formations of chamber music.

She has recently recorded a cd with the french cellist Patricia Neels,frensh works of Franck, Fauré, Debussy, two works of the syrian composer Dia Succari. She is a piano professor in the national conservatory of Orléans.
